Risk disclosure
Trading carries a real risk of loss. This page sets out what that means, and what the forecasts on this site are and are not.
Trading involves a risk of loss
Trading foreign exchange, futures, options and securities generally offers opportunities, but it carries risk in the same measure. Trade only if you are in a position to carry the losses that may occur.
High profit potential is matched by a correspondingly high risk of loss. It is possible to lose the entire capital you commit, and with some leveraged products you can lose more than your initial deposit.
Use only capital you do not need for your day to day living. Speculation in the foreign exchange market in particular is something for experienced investors.
What we publish is information, not advice
The forecasts, analyses, educational material and any other publications on this site are information. They are not an offer, not advertising, and not a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument.
Nothing published here is financial advice, and nothing here should be read as financial advice. We do not know your financial situation, your experience or your objectives. If you need advice, speak to a financial adviser or to your bank before you act.
The price levels, scenarios and verdicts in a forecast are our opinion at the time of writing, which is shown on the page. They are not a statement about what will happen.
Past performance and hypothetical results
Earlier developments are not an indicator of future developments. That applies to any performance figure shown on this site as well.
We cannot give any assurance that a trading account will produce profits or losses of the kind described on this site, in our newsletter, or in anything else we publish, and we cannot give that assurance even as a probability. Everything we publish serves to illustrate and to educate, and any trading gains presented are to be treated as purely hypothetical.
Technical risks
There are further risks that cannot be calculated in advance. Internet availability can be disrupted, email can fail to arrive, and software can go wrong. It is worth planning on the basis that any of these can happen at the moment you would least want it to.
Your responsibility, and our liability
Everything on this site is prepared with the greatest care we can give it and in good conscience. Even so, by using this site you accept that we cannot take on liability for it.
If you use what you read here to trade on your own account, the responsibility for that decision is yours. Anyone who makes an investment decision or carries out a transaction on the basis of what we publish does so entirely at their own risk and for their own account.
